IntegraMouse Plus developed by LifeACE consortium

IntegraMouse has been developed in 2003 and certified as a medical product. It was a successful and appreciated solution over years. When a further production was discussed, LIFEtool settled on a redesign of the mouth-operated computer mouse with various new features. Feedback from users was valuable and implemented into the developing process of the new mouse.

IntegraMouse Plus was developed by the Upper Austrian consortium LifeACE – an association of several companies– abatec group AG, Beneder Werkzeugbau GmbH, Ottinger EMV Consulting, LIFEtool gemeinnützige GmbH and AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH. Thanks to the subsidy program of the national funding institution Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) it was possible to get part of the development costs for IntegraMouse Plus. That’s why it was possible to combine the know-how of several companies initiated by LifeACE consortium directed by LIFEtool.

The objective of LifeACE was to refine top-quality medical products in a multi disciplinary team and the involvement of people with disability.

The part of LIFEtool gemeinnützige GmbH was to collect the needs and requirements of people with disability. AIT Austrian Institute of Technology contributed its know how to regulatory aspects. Abatec electronic solutions contributed its expertise in the electronics sector and positions itself in medical technology with the mouse certified as a medical product. Beneder Werkzeugbau GmbH was responsible for injection molding while Ottinger EMV Consulting was occupied with the licensing of LifeACE medical products.
